Drop-In Center and basic needs assistance
What kind of basic needs assistance do you offer?
Food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, transportation assistance, and financial aid for immediate needs.
How do I qualify?
You must be a transition-aged youth (ages 16–24) experiencing temporary hardship. We prioritize youth who are in supervised care, LGBTQ+, pregnant or parenting, experiencing homelessness, or separated from their families.
Where can I access it?
Visit our main office at 260 S. Acadian Thruway, Monday through Thursday, 10 am to 6 pm, or call (225) 240-8137. Our outreach workers can also meet you at community centers or other locations.
Housing assistance
What kind of housing assistance do you offer?
Emergency Shelter, transitional housing programs, and short- to long-term housing placement assistance.
How do I qualify?
You must be a transition-aged youth experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.
How long can I stay in the Emergency Shelter?
Length of stay depends on your circumstances, but generally up to 30 days.

What are the rules and expectations?
We keep a safe, supportive environment with rules about curfew, substance use, and respect for others. You'll get a full copy of your rights and responsibilities when you arrive.
What services are available there?
Meals, basic hygiene supplies, case management, and connections to other resources.
Transitional Living
What are the programs like?
Depending on your needs, we offer programs with safe housing, life skills training, employment support, and education assistance.
How do I apply?
Submit an intake request or call (225) 286-7312 to talk through your options and eligibility.
How long can I stay?
Program length varies, generally from 6 months to 2 years.
Diversion Program
What are diversion services?
Alternative programs and support that help youth avoid entering the juvenile justice or foster care system.
What do they include?
Counseling, mentoring, conflict resolution training, substance abuse prevention programs, and educational support.
How do I access them?
A school counselor, probation officer, or social worker can refer you, or contact us directly at (225) 286-7312.

What are your confidentiality policies?
We respect your privacy. Everything you share with us stays private unless there's a safety concern or a legal requirement to disclose it.
What are your funding sources?
A combination of grants, donations, and fundraising events, plus some government funding.
