Skilled volunteer roles

Life Skills Instructor

Whether your passion is yoga, financial management, baking, or something in between, share your skills with our youth and young adults to better equip them for living on their own. If you're good with problem solving, organizing, and teamwork, you'd be a great asset — working directly with our Site Monitors to make the most of food, clothing, and storage donations.

Brand Ambassador

Love Youth Oasis and want everyone else to know about us? We're looking for a volunteer to create and share content on social media and represent Youth Oasis at tabling events.

Mentor

Be a positive role model in the life of one of our youth. Mentoring is one-on-one with youth ages 16–21, and calls for someone well embedded in the community, healthy and secure, and reliable for consistent face-to-face time.

Community and group volunteering

We welcome community groups and corporate teams who want to help our youth and further our mission. Two ways to give back together:

Adopt a Dorm

Adopt an apartment or room to make our living spaces feel more like home. You'll get a resident profile to guide the package of items you put together, plus the chance to set up the room yourself.

Host a fundraiser or drive

Host a fundraiser or donation drive at your workplace, place of worship, or school. Get creative with it — food and supply drives, auction events, and dress-down days have all worked well.
