Our mission
To support youth and young adults recovering from the trauma of homelessness and family separation through housing, healthcare, and advocacy.
Youth Oasis has operated without interruption since 1998, and was Louisiana's first LGBTQ+ affirming shelter.
Our programs
Our programs support youth, young adults, and their families through hard situations — and work to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty in our community and across the state. Support falls into three areas.

2024We serve more than 100 youth a year. That's only 1.5% of Louisiana's youth living apart from their families because of abuse or neglect. Your support helps us reach more of them.

We're raising $350,000 in 90 days to sustain housing and supportive services. $50 can provide up to 30 bus rides; $1,200 covers a month's rent on a two-bedroom home.
